A North Sea search and rescue operation has been launched after a passenger was reported missing from a ferry. Coastguard teams were alerted just before 6.30am on Monday to the missing 22-year-old man from the overnight Shetland to Aberdeen service. The passenger was last seen on the NorthLink ferry MV Hjaltland at 4am resulting in a search and rescue operation covering an extensive area off the north east coast of Scotland.
